A simplified $$k-\epsilon$$ turbulence model
Journal of the Brazilian Society of Mechanical Sciences and Engineering, 2021In this paper, we present a modification in the standard $$k-\epsilon$$ turbulence model, together with a new equation to express $$\mu _t$$ as a function of k ...

POSITIVITY OF k-EPSILON TURBULENCE MODELS FOR INCOMPRESSIBLE FLOW
Mathematical Models and Methods in Applied Sciences, 2002The k-epsilon turbulence model for incompressible flow involves two advection–diffusion equations plus point-source terms. We propose a new method for positivity analysis. This method uses an iterative procedure combined with an operator splitting. With this method we recover the well-known positivity result for the standard high Reynolds number model.
