K1,k-factorization of bipartite graphs
Applied Mathematics-A Journal of Chinese Universities, 1997Let \(\lambda K_{m,n}\) denote the bipartite graph which is the disjoint union of \(\lambda\) graphs, each of which is isomorphic to \(K_{m,n}\). A \(K_{1,k}\)-factor of a graph \(G\) is a spanning subgraph of \(G\) composed of vertex disjoint copies of \(K_{1,k}\).

Biased estimation of Rician K factor
2007 6th International Conference on Information, Communications & Signal Processing, 2007The time varying envelope of the received signal, for the case when a line of sight (LoS) component exists between the transmitter and the receiver, is described by a Rician distribution with Rician factor K. The Rician factor is a measure of the severity of the fading, with K = 0 being the most severe Rayleigh fading, and K = oo representing ...

Engineering Structures, 1997
It is shown that charts that are available in design codes for calculating the column effective length factors of braced frames are unconservative, since they assume that the lateral restraints are infinite. Analytical expressions are presented that take into account the finite values of the lateral restraints.

An Assessment of K Factor Formulas
Engineering Journal, 1995Current structural design practices recognize that the maximum strength of frames and the maximum strength of component members are interdependent, but it is not practical to take this interdependence into account rigorously. This reasoning lends support to the Structural Stability Research Council (SSRC) technical memorandum which states that "in ...

A K-Factor CPU Scheduling Algorithm
2018 9th International Conference on Computing, Communication and Networking Technologies (ICCCNT), 2018In a multi-tasking environment, it is crucial to optimize the CPU scheduling process. Several algorithms have been proposed and are in use to schedule processes on CPU. This paper aims to evaluate shortest job first (SJF) algorithm and propose an algorithm to overcome the shortcomings of SJF.

Slenderness K Factor for Leaning Columns
Journal of Structural Engineering, 1994A simple method that evaluates the slenderness \iK-factor for leaning columns with sidesway uninhibited and partially inhibited is presented. The proposed method is applicable to the stability analysis of columns with pinned end connections in frames with rigid, semirigid, and simple connections.

Inelastic K-factor for Column Design
Engineering Journal, 1973The inelastic K-factor for column design, suggested by Yura (Engineering Journal, April, 1971) has deservedly been well received by practicing structural engineers. Certain questions regarding its application have been asked (Engineering Journal, January, 1972). Yuras response was published (Engineering Journal, January, 1972 and October, 1972).
