Overcoming PEG Antigenicity: Statistical PEG Isomers Reduce Antibody Binding
Conventional poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) is commonly applied in biomedicine, but is now known to induce antibody formation. Here, it is shown that the development of “randomized PEG” (rPEG) featuring glycidyl methyl ether (GME) comonomers decreased antibody binding.

Nanometric pitch in modulated structures of twist-bend nematic liquid crystals
The extended Frank elastic energy density is used to investigate the existence of a stable periodically modulate structure that appears as a ground state exhibiting a twist-bend molecular arrangement.

PMP22 copy number variation disrupts myelin architecture at SLIs and Nodes of Ranvier. Adherens junction and axoglial domain defects are often more severe in CMT1A than HNPP. Findings support PMP22 functioning as a structural organizer of myelin. ABSTRACT Charcot–Marie–Tooth Disease Type 1A (CMT1A) and Hereditary Neuropathy with Liability to Pressure ...

Creditor rights, monetary policy, financial crisis, and trade credit
This article analyses how creditor rights affect the trade credit channel of monetary policy. We also aim to test whether these effects were conditioned by the global financial crisis of 2008. Using a sample of 15,356 firms from 29 countries (2001–2017),

Visibility maintenance via controlled invariance for leader-follower Dubins-like vehicles [PDF]
The paper studies the visibility maintenance problem (VMP) for a leader-follower pair of Dubins-like vehicles with input constraints, and proposes an original solution based on the notion of controlled invariance.

Epstein‐Barr Virus Infection at Single‐Cell Resolution
ABSTRACT Epstein‐Barr virus (EBV) infection has been studied at single‐cell resolution for six decades and counting. Such investigations can reveal virus‐host interactions and their dependence on viral strain, cellular niche, infection program, immune response regulation, and time.

Towards the graviton from spinfoams: the complete perturbative expansion of the 3d toy model
We consider an exact expression for the 6j-symbol for the isosceles tetrahedron, involving integrals over SU(2), and use it to write the two-point function of 3d gravity on a single tetrahedron as a group integral.

Steady water waves with multiple critical layers
We construct small-amplitude periodic water waves with multiple critical layers. In addition to waves with arbitrarily many critical layers and a single crest in each period, two-dimensional sets of waves with several crests and troughs in each period ...
