The disease is caused by the parasite Leishmania and is a significant global health issue, with approximately two million cases annually and 350 million people at risk.

Abstract High‐resolution microstructural analysis of porphyroblast inclusion trails integrated with Sm‐Nd garnet geochronology has provided new insight into the tectonic history of the Betic‐Rif orogen.
