Physical reservoir computing using finitely-sampled quantum systems [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2021
The paradigm of reservoir computing exploits the nonlinear dynamics of a physical reservoir to perform complex time-series processing tasks such as speech recognition and forecasting. Unlike other machine-learning approaches, reservoir computing relaxes the need for optimization of intra-network parameters, and is thus particularly attractive for near ...

Quantum mechanics from a universal action reservoir [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2006
A heuristic derivation of quantum mechanics using information theory requires a foundational physical principle: the existence of a universal action reservoir, analogous to the energy reservoir of a canonical ensemble.

Fungal contamination in residential water systems: A comparative study between hot and cold water samples [PDF]

open access: yes
Some fungal species are known to have adverse health effects for humans and their presence in water systems may lead to alterations in the taste and odour of the water they occupy.

Impact of independent reservoirs on the quantum Zeno and anti-Zeno effects [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
In this paper, we look into what happens to a quantum system under repeated measurements if it interacts with two independent reservoirs. In particular, we look at the behavior of a two-level system interacting with reservoirs consisting of harmonic oscillators.

Quantum speed limit time for a two-qubit system interacting with independent and common reservoirs [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
We study the quantum speed limit time for a two-qubit system interacts with indepen- dent and common reservoir. The system is initially prepared in a class of X-structure density matrix, namely the extended Werner-like states (EWL). We demonstrate that when reservoir enters to the non-Markovian regime, the quantum speed limit time de- crease more ...

Minimal Model for Reservoir Computing [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2023
A minimal model for reservoir computing is studied. We demonstrate that a reservoir computer exists that emulates given coupled maps by constructing a modularized network. We describe a possible mechanism for collapses of the emulation in the reservoir computing by introducing a measure of finite scale deviation.

Reservoir computing using dynamic memristors for temporal information processing

open access: yesNature Communications, 2017
Reservoir computing systems utilize dynamic reservoirs having short-term memory to project features from the temporal inputs into a high-dimensional feature space.

Reservoir Computing Using Non-Uniform Binary Cellular Automata [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2017
The Reservoir Computing (RC) paradigm utilizes a dynamical system, i.e., a reservoir, and a linear classifier, i.e., a read-out layer, to process data from sequential classification tasks. In this paper the usage of Cellular Automata (CA) as a reservoir is investigated. The use of CA in RC has been showing promising results.
