Chemotherapy with 5‐fluorouracil, cisplatin or methotrexate induces significant renal oxidative stress, DNA damage and dysregulation of apoptosis‐ and cell adhesion‐related proteins in rats. Cisplatin causes the most severe oxidative injury, whereas methotrexate predominantly alters apoptotic and cell adhesion pathways.
