Abstract Background To determine whether the outcome of the first eye may serve as a predictor for intraocular pressure (IOP)‐lowering effectiveness in the second eye following bilateral ab interno trabeculectomy. Methods This retrospective single‐centre study included 168 eyes from 84 participants, who underwent combined Trabectome surgery with ...

A XEN gel stent implant procedure was performed in a one‐year‐old child with severe unilateral congenital glaucoma. At the age of 6 weeks, an uncomplicated 360° trabeculotomy had been performed, which resulted in intraocular pressure (IOP) control for only 4 months. The gel stent implantation was performed ab interno without complications.

An Alternate Technique for Goniotomy: Description of Procedure and Preliminary Results [PDF]
Purpose: Multiple glaucoma treatment modalities seek to lower IOP by bypassing or removing a portion of the juxtacanalicular trabecular meshwork. These procedures often require expensive implants or specialized surgical instruments. The authors developed

Selective Laser Trabeculoplasty and Outcomes of Subsequent Phacoemulsification Combined with Kahook Dual Blade Goniotomy. [PDF]
To investigate the relationship between intraocular pressure (IOP)-lowering success of selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) and combined phacoemulsification/Kahook Dual Blade (phaco/KDB) goniotomy in eyes with mild to severe open angle glaucoma (OAG).Eyes undergoing combined phaco/KDB goniotomy and that had previously undergone SLT were analyzed. Data

Six months' follow-up of combined phacoemulsification-kahook dual blade excisional goniotomy. [PDF]
PURPOSE: This study reports on the combination of excisional goniotomy and cataract extraction in the management of glaucoma in terms of intraocular pressure (IOP) and glaucoma medication reduction. METHODS: This is a retrospective case series.

Cyclodialysis Cleft Associated with Kahook Dual Blade Goniotomy
The aim of this study is to report cyclodialysis cleft creation during Kahook dual blade (KDB) goniotomy. No known reports of cyclodialysis clefts have been published to the authors' knowledge after KDB goniotomy.A 55-year-old myopic male with primary open angle glaucoma in both eyes (OU) underwent routine cataract extraction and intraocular lens ...
