On Some Applications of Kakutani’s Fixed Point Theorem in Game Theory

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Sciences: Advances and Applications, 2021
In this paper, we discuss some major applications of Kakutani’s fixed point theorem in game theory. In the course of research work we mostly use the idea of mathematical set, functions, topological properties and Brouwer’s fixed point theorem to make the Kakutani’s fixed point theorem more conspicuous.

A Generalization of The Markov-Kakutani Fixed Point Theorem [PDF]

open access: green, 2004
In this announcement we generalize the Markov-Kakutani fixed point theorem for abelian semi-groups of affine transformations extending it on some class of non-commutative semi-groups. As an interesting example we apply it obtaining a generalization of the invariant version of the Hahn-Banach theorem.

Remarks on Extensions of the Himmelberg Fixed Point Theorem

open access: yesFixed Point Theory and Applications, 2007
Recently, Jafari and Sehgal obtained an extension of the Himmelberg fixed point theorem based on the Kakutani fixed-point theorem. We give generalizations of the extension to almost convex sets instead of convex sets.

Random versions of Kakutani-Ky Fan's fixed point theorems

open access: closedJournal of Mathematical Analysis and Applications, 1981
AbstractThe following results are proved: (1) X be either a locally convex Lusin space11A topological space X is called a Lusin space if it is separated and if there exist a Polish space P and a bijective continuous mapping of P onto X (N. Bourbaki, “Topologie générale,” Chapitre IX, 1974).

Some Generalizations of Mulit-Valued Version of Schauder’s Fixed Point Theorem with Applications

open access: yesCubo, 2010
In this article, a generalization of a Kakutani-Fan fixed point theorem for multi-valued mappings in Banach spaces is proved under weaker upper semi-continuity condition and it is further applied to derive a generalized version of Krasnoselskii’s fixed ...

Best Proximity Points of Relatively Jaggi Nonexpansive Mappings in Busemann Convex Spaces

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces
In this paper, we introduce cyclic (noncyclic) relatively Jaggi nonexpansive mappings on Busemann convex spaces and investigate the existence of their best proximity points (pairs).

The Computational Complexity of Multi-player Concave Games and Kakutani Fixed Points [PDF]

open access: yesACM Conference on Economics and Computation, 2022
Kakutani's Fixed Point theorem is a fundamental theorem in topology with numerous applications in game theory and economics. Formally, Kakutani's theorem states that for any set-valued function mapping F, also known as correspondence, from a compact ...

A Metric Fixed Point Theorem and Some of Its Applications [PDF]

open access: yesGeometric and Functional Analysis, 2022
A general fixed point theorem for isometries in terms of metric functionals is proved under the assumption of the existence of a conical bicombing. It is new for isometries of convex sets of Banach spaces as well as for non-locally compact CAT(0)-spaces ...

Existence Results for Caputo Tripled Fractional Differential Inclusions with Integral and Multi-Point Boundary Conditions

open access: yesFractal and Fractional, 2023
In this study, based on Coitz and Nadler’s fixed point theorem and the non-linear alternative for Kakutani maps, existence results for a tripled system of sequential fractional differential inclusions (SFDIs) with integral and multi-point boundary ...
