The recessus orbitalis is an organ responsible for projecting the eyeball above the level of the head and is uniquely present in flatfishes. Integrative Phylogenetic and Morphological Analyses Reveal Two New Species of Porcellanid Crabs and Resurrect Porcellanella picta Stimpson, 1858 (Decapoda: Porcellanidae)

This study uses integrative phylogenetic and morphological analyses to clarify the taxonomy of Porcellanella crabs, revealing four distinct species.
