Grass species and climatic season impact on Rhipicephalus microplus temporal abundance in a tropical region

open access: yesPest Management Science, Volume 82, Issue 9, Page 8950-8962, September 2026.
The interaction between grass species and climatic season shapes the population dynamics of the cattle tick, Rhipicephalus microplus. This information highlights the potential of forage species to influence off‐host tick dynamics. Additionally, minimum temperature and minimum relative humidity were the most influential microclimatic predictors of ...

The Development Potential of Glamping Tourism in Istria [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Kamping turizam kako u Hrvatskoj tako i u Istri predstavlja jedan od najvažnijih turističkih proizvoda. Promjene na tržištu odražavaju se na promjene u kampiranju te u implementaciji novih poslovnih modela.

High‐density mutation tracks are associated with proton‐beam irradiation patterns in Sorghum bicolor

open access: yesThe Plant Genome, Volume 19, Issue 3, September 2026.
Abstract Induced mutagenesis is a cornerstone of crop functional genomics, yet the extent to which distinct radiation sources reshape the spatial distribution of mutations remains difficult to evaluate in reduced‐representation datasets. Here, we analyze a published genotyping‐by‐sequencing (GBS) panel (192,040 loci) to compare proton‐beam and gamma ...

Cellular immune response of Amblyomma sculptum and Amblyomma americanum to entomopathogenic fungi: Implications for biological tick control

open access: yesMedical and Veterinary Entomology, Volume 40, Issue 3, Page 582-594, September 2026.
Amblyomma sculptum showed a plasmatocyte‐dominant haemocyte profile. Beauveria bassiana increased plasmatocytes and reduced granulocytes, whereas Metarhizium robertsii did not cause significant changes. Amblyomma americanum showed a granulocyte‐dominant haemocyte profile. Beauveria bassiana reduced total haemocytes and granulocytes. B.

Cross‐Species Plasticity and Divergence Under Alkaline Soil Signature Conditions Differentiating PYE From FIT Target Transcripts in the Arabidopsis thaliana Ferrome

open access: yesPlant, Cell &Environment, Volume 49, Issue 9, Page 6719-6736, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Soil pH is an influential abiotic environmental factor. Here, we identify responses to central stimuli associated with calcareous alkaline soils in Arabidopsis and comparatively explore the potential of the closely related Arabidopsis halleri for addressing how plants cope with local soil pH.

A Novel FAM83H Truncation Mutation Disrupts Enamel Mineralization in Autosomal Dominant Hypocalcified Amelogenesis Imperfecta

open access: yesClinical and Experimental Dental Research, Volume 12, Issue 4, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives Autosomal dominant hypocalcified amelogenesis imperfecta (ADHCAI; OMIM#130900) is a hereditary enamel defect caused by truncation mutations in FAM83H, though the underlying pathogenic mechanisms remain incompletely understood. This study aimed to identify novel FAM83H mutations in a Chinese family with ADHCAI and to investigate ...
