Some Similarity between Contractions and Kannan Mappings [PDF]
Contractions are always continuous and Kannan mappings are not necessarily continuous. This is a very big difference between both mappings. However, we know that relaxed both mappings are quite similar.

Weakly Contractive Mapping and Weakly Kannan Mapping in Partial Metric Space
In the article the concept of metric space could be expanded, one of which is a partial metric space. In the metric space, the distance of a point to itself is equal to zero, while in the partial metric space need not be equal to zero. The concept of ...

An Extended Kannan Contraction Mapping and Applications [PDF]
We extend the Kannan contraction principle and obtain a result that holds for both contractive and non-expansive mappings. Such mappings admit multiple fixed-points and the fixed-point sets and domains of these mappings display interesting algebraic ...

On Cyclic Contractive Mappings of Kannan and Chatterjea Type in Generalized Metric Spaces
Novel cyclic contractions of the Kannan and Chatterjea type are presented in this study. With the aid of these brand-new contractions, new results for the existence and uniqueness of fixed points in the setting of complete generalized metric space have ...

The purpose of this study is to demonstrate results on fixed point theory in quasi-partial b-metric space recognizing a new type of mapping, which is a blend of F-contraction and Kannan contraction, and to establish the fixed point results in F-expanding

In this paper, we construct and investigate the space of null variable exponent second-order quantum backward difference sequences of fuzzy functions, which are crucial additions to the concept of modular spaces. The idealization of the mappings has been

Teori Titik Tetap untuk Tipe Kannan yang Diperumum dalam Ruang b-Metrik Modular Lengkap
Some generalizations of Banach's contraction principle, which is a fixed-point theorem for contraction mapping in metric spaces, have developed rapidly in recent years.

This paper establishes the reality of a fixed point of Kannan’s prequasinorm contraction mapping on the variable exponent function space of complex variables, demonstrating that it satisfies the property (R) and possesses a prequasinormal structure.

Contractive mappings, Kannan mappings and metric completeness [PDF]
In this paper, we first study the relationship between weakly contractive mappings and weakly Kannan mappings. Further, we discuss characterizations of metric completeness which are connected with the existence of fixed points for mappings. Especially, we show that a metric space is complete if it has the fixed point property for Kannan mappings.

Kannan contractions and strongly demicontractive mappings [PDF]
Inclusion relations between strongly demicontractive mappings, quasi (L, m)-contractions, and Kannan contractions are established. As corollaries, T-stability and strong convergence of Picard and Mann iterations for strongly demicontractive mappings are obtained.
