Kantorovich‐type generalization of parametric Baskakov operators

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, 2019
In this manuscript, we define a Kantorovich generalization of the nonnegative parametric Baskakov operators. After that, the weighted uniform convergence of the generalized operators is proved. Also, we present Voronovskaja‐type asymptotic approximation theorem then establish weighted approximation properties for parametric Kantorovich operator ...

Convergence Theorem for a Family of New Modified Halley’s Method in Banach Space

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2014
We establish convergence theorems of Newton-Kantorovich type for a family of new modified Halley’s method in Banach space to solve nonlinear operator equations. We present the corresponding error estimate.

On an approximation operator and its Lipschitz constant

open access: yesJournal of Numerical Analysis and Approximation Theory, 2002
In this note we consider an approximation operator of Kantorovich type in which expression appears a basic sequence for a delta operator and a Sheffer sequence for the same delta operator.

A Spectral Matching Algorithm Based on the Wasserstein Metric

open access: yesJournal of Chemometrics, Volume 40, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Through visual inspection, scientists can easily judge the similarity of pairs of spectra from different sources, whether they are experimental measurements, spectra libraries, or spectra calculations. Spectral similarity is recognized when the peak patterns appear similar, even if the peak positions are shifted or the peak amplitudes are ...

The Schr\"odinger Equation in the Mean-Field and Semiclassical Regime

open access: yes, 2016
In this paper, we establish (1) the classical limit of the Hartree equation leading to the Vlasov equation, (2) the classical limit of the $N$-body linear Schr\"{o}dinger equation uniformly in N leading to the N-body Liouville equation of classical ...

A New Clustering Strategy for Geo‐Referenced Time Series Based on Optimal Transport

open access: yesEnvironmetrics, Volume 37, Issue 3, April 2026.
ABSTRACT Advances in spatio‐temporal data collection have created a demand for efficient methods to analyze geo‐referenced time series (GTS), which capture changes over time at specific spatial locations. Traditional clustering methods often struggle to handle the high‐dimensional, complex nature of GTS.

New Kantorovich-type Szász–Mirakjan Operators

open access: yesBulletin of the Iranian Mathematical Society
AbstractIn this paper, we present a Kantorovich-type Szász–Mirakjan operators. Initially, we establish the recurrence relationship for the moments of these operators and provide the central moments up to the fourth degree. Subsequently, we analyze the local approximation properties of these operators using Peetre’s K-function.

Approximation properties of Szász‐Mirakyan‐Kantorovich type operators

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, 2018
In this paper, we introduce and study new type Szász‐Mirakyan‐Kantorovich operators using a technique different from classical one. This allow to analyze the mentioned operators in terms of exponential test functions instead of the usual polynomial type functions.

Seeing Through Geomorphic Complexity to Recover Tectonics From Topography: Inverting Landscapes for Uplift Histories Using the Wasserstein Distance

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Earth Surface, Volume 131, Issue 4, April 2026.
Abstract An important problem in the Earth sciences is extracting information about tectonic and other processes from topography. A general challenge is that geomorphic activity that we typically have little information about during the lifetime of a landscape can introduce geomorphic “noise”.
