Facile synthesis of crosslinked chitosan-tripolyphosphate/kaolin clay composite for decolourization and COD reduction of remazol brilliant blue R dye: Optimization by using response surface methodology

Colloids and Surfaces A: Physicochemical and Engineering Aspects, 2020
The facile synthesis of crosslinked chitosan-tripolyphosphate/kaolin clay (CS-TPP/KC) composite was performed by two subsequent steps involving modification of chitosan (CS) with an inorganic clay (kaolin, KC), followed by ionic cross-linking reaction by

Cobalt loaded organic acid modified kaolin clay for the enhanced catalytic activity of hydrogen release via hydrolysis of sodium borohydride

, 2021
Inorganic acids such as hydrochloric acid (HCl), nitric acid (HNO3) and sulphuric acid (H2SO4) are generally used in the acid modification of clays. Here, CoB catalyst was synthesized on the acetic acid-activated kaolin support material (CH3COOH -kaolin-

Mitigation of ultrafine particulate matter emission from agricultural biomass pellet combustion by the additive of phosphoric acid modified kaolin

Renewable Energy, 2021
The emission of ultrafine particulate matter (PM0.2) originated from the agricultural biomass pellet combustion poses great threat to atmospheric environment and human health, which restricts its large-scale utilization.

Enhanced PbCl2 adsorption capacity of modified kaolin in the furnace using a combined method of thermal pre-activation and acid impregnation

, 2021
The emission of semi-volatile heavy metal lead (Pb) is one of the environmental pollution in the solid waste incineration process, and using mineral sorbents such as kaolin for in-situ adsorption of Pb vapor in the furnace is an effective way to control ...

Preparation of novel porous ceramic microfiltration membranes from fly ash, kaolin and dolomite mixtures

Ceramics International, 2020
In the present work, low-cost ceramic membranes were prepared by using kaolin (KA), fly ash (FA) and dolomite. The effects of sintering temperature and raw materials composition (i.e., 0–100 wt% of KA in the mixture of KA + FA) on the membrane properties

Adsorption Sites of Kaolin

Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 1976
The electrophoretic mobility and adsorptive properties of kaolin and kaolin pretreated with anionic and cationic materials were examined over a range of pH values. Pretreatment with anionic compounds had little effect on mobility, while adsorption of cationic species markedly reduced mobility.
