Interplay between kaons and kaon like excitations of the medium

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2000
The behavior of kaons in non strange quark matter, at zero and finite temperature, is investigated within two Nambu-Jona-Lasinio type models: one without vector pseudo vector interaction (I) and the other including this interaction (II). At zero temperature, the phase transition in model I is first order and a low energy collective excitation of the ...

EPR test with photons and kaons: Analogies [PDF]

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Physics, 2001
We present a unified formalism describing EPR test using spin 1/2 particles, photons and kaons. This facilitates the comparison between existing experiments using photons and kaons.

Kaon Electroproduction on the Proton

Journal of Experimental and Theoretical Physics, 2021
A model of kaon photoproduction in the p(e, e′K+)Λ, p(e, e′K+)Σ0, and p(e, e′K0)Σ+ processes with the square of the momentum transfer Q2 up to 2.5 GeV2 is proposed. The photoproduction amplitude includes the s-, t-, and u-channel Born and s- and u-channel resonance contributions calculated in the tree approximation. The unitarity of the photoproduction

Electromagnetic production of kaons

Physical Review C, 1988
Employing diagrammatic techniques, a model for the reactions $^{1}\mathrm{H}(\ensuremath{\gamma},{K}^{+})\ensuremath{\Lambda}$ and $^{1}\mathrm{H}(e,{e}^{\ensuremath{'}}{K}^{+})\ensuremath{\Lambda}$ is derived with the coupling constants being determined phenomenologically by a least-squares fit to the available data.

Pions and kaons in QCD

Physical Review D, 1991
From reliable numerical solutions of an approximate Dyson-Schwinger equation for the quark propagator, we obtain values of the pion and kaon decay constants that differ significantly from those obtained recently by Munczek and McKay using ad hoc quark mass functions. We present arguments that the Pagels-Stokar formula should not be used to estimate the

Kaon-nucleus scattering and kaon-nuclear coupling constants

AIP Conference Proceedings, 1979
Possibilities are examined of obtaining information on kaon nuclear coupling constants, without referring to any specific models. The basis for such a type of analyses is the use of analytic properties of the scattering amplitudes. Particularly useful is the forward dispersion relation for the antisymmetric amplitude.

Observables in kaon photoproduction

Physical Review C, 1989
We briefly review the status of recent analyses of kaon photoproduction data. The utility of future measurements of other kaon photoproduction observables is discussed. We note that a set of target polarization data has been neglected in all recent analyses. The constraint imposed by this data set is illustrated.

Electroproduction of kaons and light hypernuclei

Nuclear Physics A, 2001
A detailed investigation of the basic hyperon-nucleon interactions in nuclei is one of the aims of Experiment 91-016, approved with high priority at CEBAF, to study the electroproduction of kaons on targets of deuterium, {sup 3}He, and {sup 4}He. Inasmuch as both the electron and K{sup +} are particles that interact relatively weakly with nucleons ...

Nonleptonic kaon decay

Physical Review D, 1985
Current-algebra methods are used to analyze K..-->..2..pi.. decays. A study is made of the effects of terms which are usually made to vanish by the soft-pion procedure. For this purpose the pions are treated symmetrically and massless pions, k/sup 2/ = q/sup 2/ = 0, are considered as an alternative to soft ones.

Direct CP Violation in Kaons and Kaon Rare Decays

AIP Conference Proceedings, 2007
Recent results on direct CP violation in kaons are presented and future experiments aiming to perform precise measurements of rare kaon decays are briefly reviewed.
