Targeting the GPX4–FUNDC1 Interaction with Magnesium Lithospermate B Attenuates Sepsis‐Associated Lung Injury

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The diagram depicts the endothelial‐protective mechanism of magnesium lithospermate B (MLB) in sepsis‐associated lung injury. MLB binds GPX4 at Gly79, disrupts its interaction with FUNDC1, prevents mitophagy‐mediated GPX4 degradation, restores mitophagic flux, reduces ROS, and limits ferroptosis.

ETV4 Promotes Colorectal Cancer Progression by Reprogramming Asparagine Metabolism to Remodel the Stromal Microenvironment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ETV4 coordinates a dual transcriptional program by upregulating MET and asparagine synthetase (ASNS). The resulting asparagine (Asn) secretion acts as a metabolic signal, reprogramming hepatic stellate cells (HSCs) and primary cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) toward an inflammatory phenotype. These activated stromal cells release HGF to sustain the

Factor-Analytic Evidence for the Complexity of the Delis–Kaplan Executive Function System (D-KEFS)

Assessment (Odessa, Fla.), 2020
This study examined the complexity of the Delis–Kaplan Executive Function System both in terms of the overall number of factors needed to model the entire battery and the complexity of the number of factors needed to model individual tests.

Kaplan–Meier survival curves

Transfusion, 2020
I t is useful to know how long someone will live or something will last. The probability that a specific subject will survive beyond any specified time is equivalent to the fraction of a group of similar subjects studied who do survive beyond that time ...

The Incidence of Kaplan Fiber Injury Associated With Acute Anterior Cruciate Ligament Tear Based on Magnetic Resonance Imaging

American Journal of Sports Medicine, 2020
Background: Kaplan fibers are distinct deep layers of the distal iliotibial band (ITB) that anchor the ITB to the distal femur and have a role in rotational stability of the knee.

Estimating hazard ratios from published Kaplan‐Meier survival curves: A methods validation study

Research Synthesis Methods, 2019
Various statistical methods have been developed to estimate hazard ratios (HRs) from published Kaplan‐Meier (KM) curves for the purpose of performing meta‐analyses.

Understanding survival analysis: actuarial life tables and the Kaplan-Meier plot.

British journal of hospital medicine, 2019
Survival analysis is a set of methods used to study the time between enrollment in a study and the occurrence of an event of interest. Two methods are commonly used: actuarial life tables and the Kaplan-Meier approach for survival analysis.
