Advances in Magnesium‐Based Thermoelectrics: A Critical Review
Magnesium‐based thermoelectric materials have emerged as promising candidates for low‐to‐mid‐temperature energy conversion due to their abundance, low cost, and competitive performance. This review summarizes recent advances in Mg3X2, MgAgSb, and Mg2X systems, covering transport mechanisms, fabrication strategies, stability challenges, and device ...

THE EFFECTS OF COOKING PARAMETERS ON THE YIELD AND KAPPA NUMBER
Triticale (Triticosecale, Wittm. ex A. Camus) saplarından oksit ilaveli NaOH-O2 yöntemiyle optimum kağıt hamuru verim ve Kappa numarasını belirlemek için 27 adet pişirme denemesi yapılmıştır. Yapılan pişirme denemeleri sonucunda ekonomiklik de göz önüne alındığında pişirme sıcaklığı1200C, pişirme süresi 20 dakika, Al2O3 oranı %1, NaOH oranı %16 ...

Tailoring Phonon‐Driven Responses in α‐MoO3 through Isotopic Enrichment
ABSTRACT The implementation of polaritonic materials into nanoscale devices requires selective tuning of parameters to realize desired spectral or thermal responses. One robust material, α‐MoO3, an orthorhombic crystal boasting three distinct phonon dispersions, provides three polaritonic dispersions of hyperbolic phonon polaritons (HPhPs) across the ...

This study presents a compact dynamic‐field‐driven nucleation and growth (DFNG) model that captures ferroelectric switching behavior under arbitrary voltage waveforms. It enables extraction of time‐dependent domain wall velocity and growth dimensionality, which can then be extended to device‐level modeling.

Inspired by the octopus and the golden wheel spider, soft robots with liquid crystal elastomer arc fibers as appendages are fabricated to transcend surface constraints through an elevated center of mass and minimal contact footprints. By leveraging curvature‐encoded deformation‐recovery cycles, these robots exhibit contractile, torsional, and flexural ...

A Survey of Interlayer Interaction Models for Graphene and Other 2D Materials
Van der Waals interactions arising from electronic polarization at atomically close interfaces generate corrugated interlayer energy landscapes that govern normal and tangential tractions. This review presents an overview of quantum, atomistic, analytical, and continuum modeling approaches, highlighting their roles across length scales in capturing ...

Fleiss' popular multirater kappa is known to be influenced by prevalence and bias, which can lead to the paradox of high agreement but low kappa. It also assumes that raters are restricted in how they can distribute cases across categories, which is
