The first emerging records of a dragonfly in the dark zone of subterranean ecosystems: Exuviae and newly emerged adults of Hyrcanian Goldenring, Cordulegaster vanbrinkae in Danial Cave, northern Iran. [PDF]
The paper is about the first emerging records of an Odonata species in the dark zones of subterranean ecosystems. According to the scientific literature, the records are new for the order Odonata. Also, the study considered some behaviors of Hyrcanian Goldenring, Cordulegaster vanbrinkae in darkness.

Thermal treatment of the wood improved the interfacial adhesion between wood and polymer matrix, which improved the mechanical properties of 3D#x02010;printed wood/polylactic acid specimens. The biocomposites having 10 wt% wood flour modified with silver nanoparticles have potential to replace environmentally harmful and nondegradable materials in ...

The Design of 4D‐Printed Hygromorphs: State‐of‐the‐Art and Future Challenges
A holistic review and design guidelines for 4D‐printed macroscale composite actuators triggered by humidity, so‐called hygromorphs, are proposed. The review also discusses production‐related parameters, models, measurement techniques, and actuation parameters that characterize state‐of‐the‐art hygromorph actuators.

Simulation‐supported characterization of 3D‐printed biodegradable structures
Abstract In this article, a proof‐of‐concept study is presented, in which in‐situ full‐field deformation measurements via digital image correlation, finite element analysis, and nonlinear optimization techniques are combined to characterize the heterogeneous structural behavior of a bio‐based material 3D‐printed via binder jetting. The special features

In this study, we investigate the effect of rangewide and local barriers on contemporary genetic differentiation for western populations of white‐crowned sparrows (Zonotrichia leucophrys). Microsatellite markers revealed that habitat influences genetic structure, as individuals found in coniferous ecosystems were genetically distinct from individuals ...

Study on torque and clamping forces of screw‐connected plywood
In this brief study, the time‐dependent clamping forces of screw‐connected plywood elements are investigated. The aim is to describe the time‐dependent progression of clamping forces in direct relation to screw torques. Abstract In various engineering applications, screws are commonly used to connect wood and engineered wood products to each other.
