Matching the quark model to the 1/Nc expansion

open access: yes, 2010
We compute the coefficients of the effective mass operator of the 1/Nc expansion for negative parity L=1 excited baryons using the Isgur-Karl model in order to compare the general approach, where the coefficients are obtained by fitting to data, with a ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

A VLA Study of High-redshift GRBs I - Multi-wavelength Observations and Modeling of GRB 140311A

open access: yes, 2017
We present the first results from a recently concluded study of GRBs at $z\gtrsim5$ with the Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array (VLA). Spanning $1$ to $85.5$ GHz and 7 epochs from 1.5 to 82.3 d, our observations of GRB 140311A are the most detailed joint ...
