Anion Recognition with Antimony(III) and Bismuth(III) Triaryl-Based Pnictogen Bonding Receptors. [PDF]

open access: yesChemistry, 2022
A series of Antimony(III) and Bismuth(III) pnictogen bonding (PnB) triaryl‐based anion receptors demonstrate PnB anion binding strength is influenced strongly by the electronic withdrawing nature of the aryl substituent and pnictogen atom donor identity. The triaryl PnB receptors display chloride anion selectivity over a range of halides and oxoanions.

An Experimental Toolbox for Structure‐Based Hit Discovery for P. aeruginosa FabF, a Promising Target for Antibiotics

open access: yesChemMedChem, Volume 16, Issue 17, Page 2715-2726, September 6, 2021., 2021
Fabulous FabF: FabF is an attractive target for new antibiotics. Herein we describe an experimental toolbox to support structure‐based drug design efforts for FabF from P. aeruginosa. The toolbox contains two types of binding assays (bio‐layer interferometry and NMR assays) and robust conditions for soaking FabF crystals.
