AH‐MAC: Adaptive Hierarchical MAC Protocol for Low‐Rate Wireless Sensor Network Applications

This paper proposes an adaptive hierarchical MAC protocol (AH‐MAC) with cross‐layer optimization for low‐rate and large‐scale wireless sensor networks. The main goal of the proposed protocol is to combine the strengths of LEACH and IEEE 802.15.4 while offsetting their weaknesses.

Modeling of suitable geographic areas for Striacosta albicosta in corn and dry bean crops under climate change scenarios

In recent years, the occurrence of the pest Striacosta albicosta has expanded from western to eastern North America. This study identified areas with suitable climatic conditions for the establishment of this pest. Our findings may guide government agencies to prevent the spread of this pest to new areas.

Antibacterial Action of Curcumin against Staphylococcus aureus: A Brief Review

Curcumin, the major constituent of Curcuma longa L. (Zingiberaceae family) or turmeric, commonly used for cooking in Asian cuisine, is known to possess a broad range of pharmacological properties at relatively nontoxic doses. Curcumin is found to be effective against Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus).
