Modeling and Risk Assessment of Geomagnetically Induced Currents During Geomagnetic Storm in the 500 kV Power Grid of Guangxi, China

open access: yesSpace Weather, Volume 23, Issue 11, November 2025.
Abstract Geomagnetic storms can induce geomagnetically induced currents (GIC) in power systems, posing threats to grid security. In this study, a GIC calculation model for the 500 kV power grid in Guangxi, China, is developed based on one‐dimensional (1D) and various three‐dimensional (3D) magnetotelluric (MT) impedance data.

Improving Dryland Depth to Water Table Estimate Using an Integrated Model With Three Submodels

open access: yesWater Resources Research, Volume 61, Issue 10, October 2025.
Abstract Investigating dryland phreatic water assets requires an in‐deep understanding of depth to water table (DWT). However, current DWT methods suffer from limited accuracy and demand refinement. Therefor, this study suggests one novel integrated model cascaded by twin, assimilation, and DWT submodels.

Differentiation between cerebral alveolar echinococcosis and brain metastases with radiomics combined machine learning approach

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Medical Research, 2023
Background Cerebral alveolar echinococcosis (CAE) and brain metastases (BM) share similar in locations and imaging appearance. However, they require distinct treatment approaches, with CAE typically treated with chemotherapy and surgery, while BM is ...

Influence of Alignment Changes in Different Planes During Supra‐Tubercular Biplanar Medial Opening Wedge High Tibial Osteotomy on Tibial Tubercle–Trochlear Groove Distance

open access: yesOrthopaedic Surgery, Volume 17, Issue 10, Page 2844-2850, October 2025.
Forest plot of the stratification analysis of the effect of DTR change on TT–TG distance change. ABSTRACT Objective Changes in the coronal, sagittal, and axial alignments during supra‐tubercular biplanar medial opening wedge high tibial osteotomy (STB‐MOWHTO) may have different influences on tibial tubercle–trochlear groove (TT–TG) distance, but few ...

From Old to New Colonial Dependencies: Public Perceptions of Chinese Surveillance Cameras in Central Asia

open access: yesSwiss Political Science Review, Volume 31, Issue 3, Page 450-467, September 2025.
Abstract While a growing body of literature examines the role of Chinese surveillance cameras in the technological rivalry between China and the US, relatively little is known about how publics in the Global South perceive and respond to the growing presence of these technologies in their communities.

Bi‐Regional Machine Learning Radiomics Based on CT Noninvasively Predicts LOX Expression Level and Overall Survival in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesCancer Medicine, Volume 14, Issue 15, August 2025.
ABSTRACT Objective We aimed to assess the association between lysyl oxidases (LOX) expression levels and the prognosis of patients with Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and to establish a CT‐based bi‐regional radiomics model that can discriminate LOX expression level using The Cancer Imaging Archive (TCIA) and The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database ...
