Katarism's other face: The experience of Katarism in the ayllus of Northern Potosí

This article presents a comparative analysis of the Katarism of La Paz and the Katarism of Northern Potosí. If the former has been characterized by linking “ethnic” identity and “class” identity, the latter has led to a rupture with the rural trade union organization in order to take forward a process of “reconstituting the ayllus.”
