Disentangling the Evolutionary Cause-Effect Relationships of Environment, Sexual Selection, and Body Size With Birdsong Frequency. [PDF]
We used Phylogenetic Path Analysis to disentangle the causal relationships linking birdsong frequency with body size, environment, and sexual selection. Our results show that these factors interact through both direct and indirect pathways, revealing a complex network of evolutionary influences.
