Correlation of diterpenes of the (–)-kaurane series and atractyligenin

Australian Journal of Chemistry, 1968
19-Nor-16a- and 19-nor-16ß-(-)-kaurane (11) and (111) have been prepared by unambiguous methods from 16a-( -)-kaurane-3a,l7,19-triol (IV) and (-)-kaur-16-ene-3a,l9-diol (V) and have been identified with samples derived from atractyligenin, thus providing conclusive proof for the skeleton of the latter.

Kaurane-Type Diterpene Glycoside from the Stem Bark ofAcanthopanax trifoliatus

Planta Medica, 2004
A new diterpene glycoside, acantrifoside D ( 1), as well as three known diterpenes (2 - 4) were isolated from the stem bark of Acanthopanax trifoliatus from Vietnam. Based on 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopic data, their chemical structures were determined to be 16alpha,17-dihydroxy- ent-kauran-19-oic acid 16- O-beta- D-glucopyranoside 19- O-beta- D ...

Bitter kaurane-type diterpene glucosides from the liverwort Jungermannia infusca

Phytochemistry, 1990
Abstract Five new kaurene-type bitter diterpene glucosides, infuscasides AE, have been isolated from the liverwort Jungermannia infusca together with the previously known ent-15α-hydroxykaurene and stigmasteryl glucoside and their structures elucidated by chemical data and the extensive 2D-COSY NMR spectroscopy.

Complete1H and13C NMR assignment of a kaurane diterpene fromPiliostigma thonningii

Magnetic Resonance in Chemistry, 1997
The diterpene ent-16α-hydroxykauran-18-oic acid was isolated from the leaves of Piliostigma thonningii. Structural elucidation and complete 1H and 13C NMR chemical shift assignments of this compound were achieved by 2D experiments. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Structure of Kaurane-Type Diterpenes fromParinari spruceiand their Potential Anticancer Activity

Planta Medica, 2004
Twenty-three kaurane-type diterpenes 1 - 23, including twenty new natural products 1 - 20, have been isolated from the leaves of Parinari sprucei and their structures elucidated by spectroscopic and chemical analysis. The isolated compounds were tested for their cytotoxic activity towards a panel of cancer cell lines. Compounds 9 and 10 showed activity

Tricalysiolides A–F, new rearranged ent-kaurane diterpenes from Tricalysia dubia

Tetrahedron, 2006
Abstract Six rearranged ent-kaurane diterpenes, tricalysiolides A–F, having the cafestol-type carbon framework were isolated from the wood of Tricalysia dubia (Rubiaceae). Their absolute structures were determined on the basis of the 2D NMR spectroscopy, X-ray crystallographic analysis, and chemical methods.
