The effect of oxidation treatment by KClO3/H2SO4 system on intersurface performance of carbon fibers

Applied Surface Science, 2013
Abstract The polyacrylonitrile-based (PAN-based) carbon fibers with progressive amounts of the oxidation treatment have been investigated using a number of surface analytical methods. The chemical content and structure of oxidated fibers have been interrogated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and scanning electron microscope (SEM), then ...

AB initio study of the structure, isomerism, and vibrational spectra of LiClO3, NaClO3, and KClO3

Journal of Structural Chemistry, 1998
The geometrical structure, force fields, and vibrational spectra of the ClO 3 − ion and LiClO3, NaClO3, and KClO3 molecules are studied using the Hartree-Fock (HF) method and second-order Moller-Plesset (MP2) perturbation theory in double-zeta basis sets complemented with polarization and diffuse ...

Investigation of the relation between microstructural parameters and magnetic properties of KClO3-doped YBCO superconductors

Physica C: Superconductivity, 2000
Abstract The influence of KClO 3 addition on the microstructure and magnetic properties of YBCO were investigated. The AC complex susceptibility χ AC = χ′ − iχ″ was recorded as a function of temperature and concentration of KClO 3 addition at various AC magnetic fields up to 2 mT.

Development of a new polymer electrolyte (PMMA-CO-P4VPNO+KClO3) for solid state electrochemical cells

Ionics, 2004
Polymer electrolyte films based on a co-polymer polymethyle methacrylate-co-poly 4vinyl pyridine N-oxide (PMMA-CO-P4VPNO) complexed with KClO3 were prepared by solution cast technique. The complexation of KClO3 salt with the polymer was confirmed by infrared studies.

Charge transfer complexes of molecular oxygen in NaClO3 and KClO3 studied by resonance Raman and infrared spectroscopya)

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1983
The complex point defects [ClO−,O2] and [ClO−2,O2], formed by photolysis of crystalline NaClO3 and KClO3 at 15 or 77 K, were studied by resonance Raman and infrared spectroscopy. The vibrational frequencies correspond closely to those of the individual species whereas a variety of other properties is peculiar to the complexes.

Photolysis of NaClO3 and KClO3 at 26 K studied by optical and ESR spectroscopy

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1982
Two types of defects are formed when crystalline NaClO3 and KClO3 are photolyzed at 26 K with monochromatic light of a wavelength corresponding to the fundamental absorption. One type of defects absorbs around 380 nm and has an ESR spectrum characteristic of trapped O2.

Electrical and optical properties of pure and KClO3-doped P(MMA-CO-4VPNO) polymer electrolyte films

Ionics, 2008
Ion-conducting polymer electrolyte films based on a copolymer poly(methyl-methacrylate-co-4-vinyl pyridine N-oxide) [P(MMA-CO-4VPNO)] complexed with potassium chlorate (KClO3) were prepared by solution cast technique. The complexation of KClO3 salt with the polymer was confirmed by X-ray diffraction and infrared studies. The electrical conductivity and

THE USE OF HEAT-SUMS TO PREDICT HARVEST DATES FOLLOWING POTASSIUM CHLORATE (KCLO3) APPLICATION IN LONGAN

Acta Horticulturae, 2010
The ability to initiate and manipulate flowering with KClO3 allows flowering of longan, to be triggered outside of the normal flowering season (July-September) in Australia. Fruit maturity following normal flowering will occur approximately six-eight months (180-220 days) from flowering, depending on variety.

The Effect of KClO3 Addition on the Superconducting Properties and Microstructure of YBCO HTSC Materials

1999
The influence of KClO3 addition on the superconducting properties, microstructure and morphology of high-temperature superconductors with nominal compositionY1–0.2x Ba2–0.2x KxCu3Oy (x = 0 ÷ 0.40), were investigated. Experimental results showed a promoting effect of the additive on the formation of 123 phase in air.

Resonance Raman and electronic absorption spectra of O−3 ions in γ-irradiated KClO3 and NaClO3

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1975
Resonance Raman and electronic absorption spectra have been measured for the ozonide ion, O−3, produced in single crystals of KClO3 and NaClO3 by irradiation with γ rays. The O−3 ions are oriented in four to six symmetrically nonequivalent positions in KClO3 and appear to be oriented in two nonequivalent positions in NaClO3.
