Abstract Nutrient sensing enables the body to detect and respond to nutrient availability through hormonal regulation. In this study, we examined nutrient‐stimulated hormonal responses in children with severe acute malnutrition (SAM) compared with hospitalized (HC) and community (CC) child comparators.
