The Impact of Laying Hen Hybrids and Cage Density on Keel Bone Damage

open access: yes
The aim of this study was to examine the effect of cage density and hybrid variety on keel bone damage in laying hens. Methods: In this study, two different hybrids (Hy-line Brown, HB; Isa Tinted, IT) were used and 3 different cage densities low (750 cm2/hen), medium (535.71 cm2/hen) and high (375 cm2/hen) were applied.

Heterogeneity in Lumbar Segmental Bone Mineral Density and Age‐Related Evolution of Whole‐Body Bone Mineral Density: Comprehensive Implications for Osteoporosis Risk Assessment

open access: yesOrthopaedic Surgery, Volume 18, Issue 1, Page 113-125, January 2026.
The BMDs of several body regions are associated with age and sex, with variations in the rate of change, age at first change, and age‐related trends depending on the anatomical site and sex. The BMDs of L1 and L2 are generally significantly lower than those of L3 and L4.

Tensile Performance of Prefabricated Tank Walls Connected Using Ultrahigh‐Performance Concrete

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Prefabricated tank structures are a widely used form of industrialized construction, yet the behavior of connections between precast segments remains insufficiently explored. Since the mechanical properties of these connections govern the structural performance of prefabricated tanks, this study introduces a novel joint detail employing cast‐in‐place ...

Recent Advances in Photocatalytic Degradation of Caffeine: Overview of the Mechanism and Photocatalysts

open access: yesJournal of Chemistry, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Caffeine, a widely consumed stimulant, has emerged as a recurring and persistent contaminant in aquatic environments, including surface water, groundwater and wastewater effluents. Its continuous presence poses ecological risks due to its bioactivity and resistance to conventional treatment methods.
