Enhancement of the Persistent Luminescence of SrAl2O4:Eu, Dy Ceramics Through Incorporation of Ag and Au Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, Volume 7, Issue 1, January 2026.
Enhanced persistent luminescence of consolidated ceramic substrates done by hot isostatic pressing based on SrAl2O4: Eu, Dy by incorporation of Ag and Au nanoparticles. Persistent luminescent materials are essential for advancing energy‐efficient lighting, bioimaging, and sensing technologies.

Improving Clinical Outcomes of Encapsulated Faecal Microbiota Transplantation for Clostridioides difficile Infection Through Empirical Donor Selection and Optimised Dosing: A Quality Improvement Study. [PDF]

open access: yesAliment Pharmacol Ther
In a large‐scale, multiple‐site Danish faecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) system, the cure rates in patients with Clostridioides difficile infection treated with encapsulated FMT were improved following exclusion of three low‐performing donors and implementation of a two‐dose FMT regimen.

Angiographic Characteristics and Progression in A Comprehensive Nationwide European MOYAMOYA Cohort. [PDF]

open access: yesEur J Neurol
Findings from the review of radiologic studies within a Danish nationwide cohort of 50 patients diagnosed with Moyamoya disease (MMD) do not support the idea of a distinct European MDD subtype. About 34% of cases showed angiographic progression, and there was a trend towards a higher stroke risk in patients with angiographic progression.

François Ost: from a Jupiterian Kelsen to a ‘democratic’(?) Hermes. On Dynamics and Mediation. A Hegelian Opposition

open access: yesNuevo Itinerario, 2021
In this paper, I intend to discuss two models of judge proposed by François Ost: Jupiter and Hermes. According to Ost, Jupiter represents both Kelsen’s positivism and iusnaturalism. In what follows, I intend to prove that Ost’s characterization of Kelsen

Generalising uncertainty improves accuracy and safety of deep learning analytics applied to oncology

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2023
Uncertainty estimation is crucial for understanding the reliability of deep learning (DL) predictions, and critical for deploying DL in the clinic. Differences between training and production datasets can lead to incorrect predictions with underestimated

Influence of the design on the thermal response of press-fit diodes: An infrared thermographic study

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2021
A critical effect in the field of the power semiconductors is their heating processes under high currents regime, in the order of amperes. The thermal characterization in working conditions is not always an easy task, and its over/underestimation can ...

Thermal response of active Si in press-fit rectifier diodes by confocal Raman microscopy: Influence of diode design and technology

open access: yesJournal of Materials Research and Technology, 2022
Overheating resulting from the circulation of high electric currents (in the order of tens of amperes) that some electronic devices undergo when they are in operation, can induce structural modifications such as mechanical stresses that could reduce ...

Silicate-based persistent phosphors

open access: yesOpen Ceramics, 2021
Eu2+-doped alkaline-earth silicates are the second most studied group of persistent luminescent inorganic phosphors after aluminates, such as SrAl2O4. Silicates are comparable with the aluminates in terms of chemical stability, high quantum efficiency ...
