Interpreting Air Temperature Trends Across the Antarctic Peninsula Between 1979 and 2025
Abstract The near‐surface temperature of the Antarctic Peninsula is marked by strong spatio‐temporal variability. In situ observations are scarce and therefore have limited spatial coverage. Furthermore, ERA‐5 reanalysis does not have a sufficient spatial resolution to capture the steep topography and other climate gradients of the peninsula.

Multi‐state Photoswitching in Thienoquinoid‐Based Fluorescent Trithiophenes
A methine‐bridged trithiophene with a thienoquinoid core undergoes photoisomerization of both C═C bonds, affording three geometrical isomers in a ratio controlled by the irradiation wavelength. Despite full π‐conjugation, the system retains fluorescence, enabling wavelength‐addressable multi‐state switching with luminescent readout.

Instrumental Artefacts Can Reverse Apparent Lightning–Climate Trends
Abstract Lightning is an Essential Climate Variable, yet long‐term detection records may be compromised by changes in detection technology. Using more than three decades of Austrian lightning observations (1992–2024), we show that instrumental artefacts can reverse the apparent sign of lightning–climate trends.

Quantifying Land–Sea Connectivity Through Remotely Sensed River Plumes
Abstract Coastal ecosystems are highly influenced by riverine freshwater inputs, but the nature of these influences is dynamic and hard to characterize. Here we present a method that leverages remote sensing data of river plumes to quantify land–sea connectivity.
