On the Habitable Zones of Circumbinary Planetary Systems [PDF]
The effect of the stellar flux on exoplanetary systems is becoming an increasingly important property as more planets are discovered in the habitable zone (HZ).

Expedient, Directed Ir‐Catalyzed Diborylation of (Hetero)Biaryls via a Tridentate Ligand
The iridium‐catalyzed diborylation of 2‐aryl pyridines and isoquinolines with B2pin2 is reported. Using [Ir(OMe)(COD)]2 and a terpyridine derivative as a tridentate ligand, the heterobiaryls were selectively diborylated at the 2,6‐positions of the carbocycle.

Planet Packing in Circumbinary Systems
The recent discovery of planets orbiting main sequence binaries will provide crucial constraints for theories of binary and planet formation. The formation pathway for these planets is complicated by uncertainties in the formation mechanism of the host ...

Signs of Similar Stellar Obliquity Distributions for Hot and Warm Jupiters Orbiting Cool Stars
Transiting giant planets provide a natural opportunity to examine stellar obliquities, which offer clues about the origin and dynamical histories of close-in planets.

Abstract Revision surgery after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACL‐R) is hypothesized to be the result of an interplay between factors associated with the anatomy, physiological characteristics and environment of the patient. The multifactorial nature of revision ACL‐R risk is difficult to quantify, and evidence regarding the independent ...

How to build Tatooine: reducing secular excitation in Kepler circumbinary planet formation
Circumbinary planetary systems recently discovered by Kepler represent an important testbed for planet formation theories. Planetesimal growth in disks around binaries has been expected to be inhibited interior to ~10 AU by secular excitation of high ...

Adaptive Optics Images of Kepler Objects of Interest [PDF]
All transiting planets are at risk of contamination by blends with nearby, unresolved stars. Blends dilute the transit signal, causing the planet to appear smaller than it really is, or produce a false positive detection when the target star is blended ...

On the Abundance of Circumbinary Planets
We present here the first observationally based determination of the rate of occurrence of circumbinary planets. This is derived from the publicly available Kepler data, using an automated search algorithm and debiasing process to produce occurrence ...

Sitobion avenae and Rhopalosiphum padi are major pests on wheat. Natural product‐based aphid resistance holds promise for the sustainable control of these pests. The current literature is discussed, highlighting knowledge gaps and challenges that need addressing. Abstract Cereal aphids, Sitobion avenae and Rhopalosiphum padi, cause severe yield loss in
