Osculating Keplerian Elements for Highly Non-Keplerian Orbits [PDF]
This paper presents a mapping between the elements of highly non-Keplerian orbits and classical orbital elements. Three sets of elements are discussed and mappings are derived in closed, analytical form for both the direct and inverse problem. Advantages and drawbacks of the use of each set of elements are dis-cussed.

The Keplerian orbit of G2 [PDF]
AbstractWe give an update of the observations and analysis of G2 – the gaseous red emission-line object that is on a very eccentric orbit around the Galaxy's central black hole and predicted to come within 2400 RS in early 2014. During 2013, the laser guide star adaptive optics systems on the W. M.

Discovery of the Tadpole Molecular Cloud near the Galactic Nucleus
In this paper, we report the discovery of an isolated, peculiar compact cloud with a steep velocity gradient at 2.′6 northwest of Sgr A*. This “Tadpole” molecular cloud is unique owing to its characteristic head-tail structure in the position–velocity ...

Diffractive Sail-Based Displaced Orbits for High-Latitude Environment Monitoring
This paper analyzes the possibility of maintaining a circular displaced non-Keplerian orbit around the Sun by means of a Sun-facing diffractive sail. With the goal of monitoring the Earth’s high-latitude regions, the spacecraft is required to track its ...

Ponesrečena izstrelitev satelitov Galileo in vesoljski odpadki ( = Recent Galileo launch failure in the light of space debris) [PDF]
In this paper, we present the problem of the increasing pollution of space with the objects that have been sent into space from 1957 onwards. For operating facilities, we describe the use of the two-line Keplerian elements (TLE) for the

GNSS-RO LEO satellite orbit optimization for Egypt and the Middle East region
The “Radio Occultation (RO)” method is one from the simple, accurate and high resolution methods that produces a complete atmosphere model. Each region/country optimizes a “Low Earth Orbiter (LEO)” satellite orbit that covers its climate requirements by ...

A Theoretical Optimum Tilt Angle Model for Solar Collectors from Keplerian Orbit
Solar energy has been extensively used in industry and everyday life. A more suitable solar collector orientation can increase its utilization. Many studies have explored the best orientation of the solar collector installation from the perspective of ...

Real - Time Orbit Determination of Low Earth Orbit Satellites Using Radar System and SGP4 Model [PDF]
In case that we independently obtain orbital informations about the low earth satellites of foreign countries using radar systems, we develop the orbit determination algorithm for this purpose using a SGP4 model with an analytical orbit model and the ...
