Collision Probabilities for Keplerian Orbits
Space Debris, 2000We present a new derivation of the probability of collisions between spherical satellites occupying Keplerian orbits. The equations follow from the central concept of the instantaneous collision rate, an expression that describes the occurrence of collisions by using a Dirac δ-function.

A Discussion on Non-Keplerian Orbits
Earth and Space 2010, 2010Space operations will be the mainstream and necessity of future space activities. More and more orbital vehicles for space operations can not be described by the Kepler's laws due to man-control, and their orbits belong to the non-Keplerian orbits. The problem of non-Keplerian orbits is discussed in this paper.

Comment on Families of Keplerian orbits
European Journal of Physics, 2004A surprising analytic solution based on the historical publication of the famous rocket engineer Tsander is given. The Keplerian orbit is analytically fully defined by the velocity vector at only one given distance from the force centre.

Orbit perturbation: Evolution of a keplerian disk
Advances in Space Research, 1984Abstract The dynamical evolution of a keplerian disk of matter around a star or around a planet is a crucial point for the understanding of the formation of solar systems or for the formation of planetary rings. In this paper we will adopt a general point of view : we describe the disk by a distribution function in phase space and follow its ...

When designing future missions, the engineer’s imagination is limited by inevitable real-world constraints. For example, the propulsion system to be used will have a given specific impulse and so, for a finite propellant mass, will provide some total Δv.

Keplerian orbits and spherical electrostatic spectrometer
Nuclear Instruments and Methods, 1978Abstract The properties of Keplerian orbits in an inverse-square field are discussed in terms of the initial or launching conditions. A simple, new graphical method of constructing any elliptical orbit is presented in terms of the initial conditions. Graphs are presented showing energy relations, eccentricity, size, ratio of maximum and minimum radii,

Statistical mechanics of Keplerian orbits
Astrophysics and Space Science, 1975Perturbations and gravitational encounters are incorporated into the statistical theory of Keplerian orbits. The birth of planets is discussed as an application of the theory. It turns out to be a consequence of the combined action of collisions, differential rotation and gravitational interaction.
