Keratin : origins, properties, application

open access: yes, 2011
Celem artykułu jest scharakteryzowanie keratyny. Należy ona do rodziny białek fibrylarnych. Głównym źródłem naturalnego występowania keratyny są odpadowe pióra z przemysłu drobiarskiego. W skali globalnej powstaje ponad 4 mln ton tego odpadu w ciągu roku

Foamed Concrete Sealing Materials for Coal Seam Gas Drainage Boreholes: A Review

open access: yesSafety Science and Technology, EarlyView.
This study investigates the sealing performance of foamed concrete in gas drainage boreholes. By comparing leakage pathways (a, c) with sealed systems (b, d), the research demonstrates how foamed concrete effectively fills mining‐induced fractures and resists deformation.

A linkage study of sheep keratin and keratin-associated protein genes with wool traits

open access: yes, 2015
Keratin proteins (K) and keratin-associated proteins (KAPs) constitute about 90% of the total content of wool fibre; these proteins are encoded by the keratin genes (KRT) and keratin-associated protein genes (KRTAP), respectively.
