Mohs, MD ( 212 :1956, 1970), entitled "Seborrheic Keratoses: Scarless Removal by Curettage and Oxidized Cellulose" is deserving of some comment. Dr. Mohs has made other very valuable original contributions to medicine, but curettage removal is probably preferred by the majority of the breed of dermatologists.

Abstract Seborrheic keratosis is a benign skin disorder which rarely occurs on the penis. Histopathologicexamination shows characteristic basal cell hyperplasia with cystic formation in the thickened epidermis. Excisional biopsy is perhaps the only way to rule out malignant disease.

Journal of Cutaneous Pathology, 1981An 88‐year‐old woman who developed a nodule in a lesion of seborrheic keratosis on the frontal scalp was observed. Histopathologically, the nodule was characterized by lobular acanthosis consisting of glycogen rich clear cells and squamoid cells with squamous eddies and melanin blockade melanocytes.
