Development and characterization of air kerma cavity standard
Measurement, 2019Ionization chambers are the most common detectors for precise measurements such as these required in radiation protection and radiotherapy. This paper presents the design, development and characterization of a new graphite-walled cavity ionization ...

A new Diamentor for measuring kerma‐area product and air‐kerma simultaneously
Medical Physics, 1997The new M4KDK Diamentor (PTW‐Freiburg) for measuring the air‐kerma‐area product (KAP) and air kerma (AK) simultaneously was evaluated. The special design of the Diamentor chamber influences the variation of the calibration factor with respect to the field size somewhat differently to what is the case with the classic Diamentor.

Calculation of air kerma inside the radiation field of X-ray tube
Radiation Measurements, 2019The air kinetic energy released per unit of mass (air kerma) quantity is of importance in both medicine and industry for evaluating the radiation field of X-ray tubes and also for calibrating the reference instruments.

The Holocene Prehistory of Upper Nubia until the Rise of the Kerma Kingdom
Handbook of Ancient Nubia, 2019The Holocene prehistory of Upper Nubia has long been poorly known due to the few research projects focused on this period. In comparison, Lower Nubia and the Central Sudan have been much better studied. In Lower Nubia the sequence of Nab ta Playa 200 km
