Abstract Palmer Deep submarine canyon on the western Antarctic Peninsula hosts permanent penguin breeding rookeries and is characterized by elevated chlorophyll‐a compared to the surrounding continental shelf. Particle residence times within the canyon are shorter than phytoplankton doubling times, which points to the ecosystem's productivity being ...

Abstract Multi‐frequency oscillatory pumping, in which the groundwater is extracted during a half period, and then reinjected, has recently been used to characterize aquifer heterogeneity. After the initial transition time, a steady periodic head can be observed at the observation well with constant amplitude and phase shift.

Nutrition for all? Input subsidies and equitable diets
Abstract While agricultural input subsidies can improve productivity and nutrition, a key unanswered question is whether such government initiatives influence equitable nutrition access across genders. We study gender disparities in dietary diversity among 7783 smallholder farms in Zambia, evaluating the potential of subsidies to mitigate gaps.

A Theory of Generalized Coordinates for Stochastic Differential Equations
ABSTRACT Stochastic differential equations are ubiquitous modeling tools in applied mathematics and the sciences. In most modeling scenarios, random fluctuations driving dynamics or motion have some nontrivial temporal correlation structure, which renders the SDE non‐Markovian; a phenomenon commonly known as ‘colored’’ noise.

Mechanical Hamiltonization of Unreduced ϕ$\phi$‐Simple Chaplygin Systems
ABSTRACT In this paper, we prove that the trajectories of unreduced ϕ$\phi$‐simple Chaplygin kinetic systems are reparameterizations of horizontal geodesics with respect to a modified Riemannian metric. Furthermore, our proof is constructive and these Riemannian metrics, which are not unique, are obtained explicitly in interesting examples.

Abstract Using iterated uniform local completion, we introduce a notion of continuous CR$CR$ functions on locally closed subsets of reduced complex spaces, generalising both holomorphic functions and CR$CR$ functions on CR$CR$ submanifolds. Under additional assumptions of set‐theoretical weak pseudo‐concavity, we prove optimal maximum modulus ...

Abstract In this paper, we extend the theory of minimal limit key polynomials of valuations on the polynomial ring K[x]$K[x]$. Minimal key polynomials are useful to describe, for instance, the defect of an extension of valued fields. We use the theory of cuts on ordered abelian groups to show that the previous results on bounded sets of key polynomials

The Temperley–Lieb tower and the Weyl algebra
Abstract We define a monoidal category W${\mathbf {W}}$ and a closely related 2‐category 2Weyl${\mathbf {2Weyl}}$ using diagrammatic methods. We show that 2Weyl${\mathbf {2Weyl}}$ acts on the category TL:=⨁nTLn−mod$\mathbf {TL}:=\bigoplus _n \operatorname{TL}_n\mathrm{-mod}$ of modules over Temperley–Lieb algebras, with its generating 1‐morphisms ...

Realization of spaces of commutative rings
Abstract Motivated by recent work on the use of topological methods to study collections of rings between an integral domain and its quotient field, we examine spaces of subrings of a commutative ring, endowed with the Zariski or patch topologies. We introduce three notions to study such a space X$X$: patch bundles, patch presheaves and patch algebras.
