A Smoothed-Distribution Form of Nadaraya-Watson Estimation [PDF]
Given observation-pairs (xi ,yi ), i = 1,...,n , taken to be independent observations of the random pair (X ,Y), we sometimes want to form a nonparametric estimate of m(x) = E(Y/ X = x). Let YE have the empirical distribution of the yi , and let (XS ,YS )

Heuristic Kernel Density Estimator for Modal‑Proximity Data
Different from the classical probability density estimator construction strategies based on the Parzen window method, we propose a heuristic kernel density estimator (HKDE) based on nearest neighbor error measurement function, to improve the accuracy of ...

Nonparametric option pricing with no-arbitrage constraints [PDF]
We propose a completely kernel based method of estimating the call price function or the state price density of options. The new estimator of the call price function fulfills the constraints like monotonicity and convexity given in Breeden and ...

Ti6Al4V‐Bioglass‐Copper Composites for Load‐Bearing Implants
We have designed and manufactured a novel Ti64‐based composite by adding 45S5 bioglass (BG) and copper (Cu). Adding BG on titanium improves wear resistance and biocompatibility, whereas Cu addition improves mechanical strength while providing inherent lifelong bacterial resistance.

Unveiling the Role of Curvature in Carbon for Improved Energy Release of Ammonium Perchlorate
High‐curvature carbon materials identified via machine learning and simulation can enhance the heat release and combustion performance of ammonium perchlorate. ABSTRACT The catalytic role of carbon curvature in the thermal decomposition of ammonium perchlorate (AP) remains largely unexplored. To address this gap, this study employs machine learning and

Gamma Kernel Estimators for Density and Hazard Rate of Right-Censored Data
The nonparametric estimation for the density and hazard rate functions for right-censored data using the kernel smoothing techniques is considered. The “classical” fixed symmetric kernel type estimator of these functions performs well in the interior ...
