Hyperelastic Starch Hydrogel Configures Edible and Biodegradable All‐Components for Soft Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hyperelastic starch hydrogel is tailored via a phase separation strategy of solvent‐antisolvent co‐modulation. The mechanical performance of starch hydrogel is widely tuned with maximum strains: 194.4–361.4%; maximum tensile stresses: 34–192 kPa; and Young's moduli: 36.0–205.8 kPa. Notably, the hydrogel achieves complete soil degradation within 24 days

Deep Learning‐Assisted Rapid Bacterial Classification Based on Raman Spectroscopy of Bacteria Lysed by Acoustically Driven Fiber‐Tip Vibration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel acoustofluidic lysis technique based on a vibrating fiber‐tip is integrated with Raman spectroscopy and deep learning for rapid, label‐free bacterial classification. By exposing intracellular biomolecules, this method significantly enhances spectral resolution, enabling high‐accuracy classification with a 1D‐ResNet model.

Resolving the Sodiation Process in Hard Carbon Anodes with Nanostructure Specific X‐Ray Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
SWAXS imaging is demonstrated as a characterization method to investigate sodiation mechanisms of hard carbon anodes. Structural changes are mapped across the anode and reveals that micropore filling is dominating the later stages of sodiation, while intercalation occurs continuously.
