Self-weighted Multiple Kernel Learning for Graph-based Clustering and Semi-supervised Classification

open access: yes, 2018
Multiple kernel learning (MKL) method is generally believed to perform better than single kernel method. However, some empirical studies show that this is not always true: the combination of multiple kernels may even yield an even worse performance than ...

Distributed Kernel Extreme Learning Machines for Aircraft Engine Failure Diagnostics

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2019
Kernel extreme learning machine (KELM) has been widely studied in the field of aircraft engine fault diagnostics due to its easy implementation. However, because its computational complexity is proportional to the training sample size, its application in

Learning Isometric Separation Maps

open access: yes, 2009
Maximum Variance Unfolding (MVU) and its variants have been very successful in embedding data-manifolds in lower dimensional spaces, often revealing the true intrinsic dimension.

The bergman kernel method for the numerical conformal mapping of simply connected domains [PDF]

open access: yes, 1977
A numerical method for the conformal mapping of simply-connected domains onto the unit disc is considered. The method is based on the use of the Bergman kernel function of the domain.

Knockout of the mitoribosome rescue factors Ict1 or Mtrfr is viable in zebrafish but not mice: compensatory mechanisms underlying each factor's loss

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Mitochondria contain two mitoribosome rescue factors, ICT1 and MTRFR (C12orf65). ICT1 also functions as a mitoribosomal protein in mice and humans, and its loss is lethal. Although Mtrfr knockout mice could not be generated, knockout zebrafish lines for ict1 and mtrfr were established.

Robust Kernelized Multiview Clustering Based on High-Order Similarity Learning

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2022
This paper explores the robust kernelized multi-view clustering (MVC) for nonlinear data. The existing MVC methods aim to excavate the complementary and consensus information from multi-view data lies in the linear space for clustering.

Diagrams for heat kernel expansions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
A diagramatic heat kernel expansion technique is presented. The method is especially well suited to the small-derivative expansion of the heat kernel, but it can also be used to reproduce the results obtained by the approach known as covariant ...

Detecting rs‐fMRI Networks in Disorders of Consciousness: Improving Clinical Interpretability

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Preserved resting‐state functional MRI (rs‐fMRI) networks are typically observed in Disorders of Consciousness (DOC). Despite the widespread use of rs‐fMRI in DOC, a systematic assessment of networks is needed to improve the interpretability of data in clinical practice.
