The Impact of Food Properties on Jaw Movements in Rodents: A Comparison Between Myomorphous and Hystricomorphous Species

open access: yesJournal of Morphology, Volume 287, Issue 8, August 2026.
We investigated the masticatory movements of two of the three main cranial‐mandibular morphological groups in Rodents (two species each) using 3D X‐ray reconstruction. We found that both groups use different movements and modulate their chewing differently in response to different food items.

An Analysis of Configuration of Lateral Lamella of Cribriform Plate of Ethmoid: A Computed Tomographic Study [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences University, 2020
Background: Ethmoid Skull Base (ESB) is an articulation of ethmoid roof with Lateral Lamella of Cribriform plate (LLCP). An increased LLCP height was observed to increase the vulnerability of ESB to surgical injuries.

Raman Line Scan Analyses and a New Hypothesis for the Formation of Anatase‐Hosting Microbialites: Study of the Stromatolites From Saint‐Jean‐de‐la‐Rivière, Cotentin, France

open access: yesJournal of Raman Spectroscopy, Volume 57, Issue 8, Page 1463-1480, August 2026.
Micrometer analysis of millimeter lines of Raman spectra concludes in the association of anatase and graphitized organic matter (graphogen). The photosynthetic microorganisms at the origin of the microbialites produce O2, which is transformed by TiO2 into reactive species that, in turn, decompose the organic matter of the microorganisms. ABSTRACT Raman

Activin Signaling Inhibitors in Pulmonary Hypertension: A State‐of‐the‐Art Review

open access: yesPulmonary Circulation, Volume 16, Issue 3, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a disease of abnormal pulmonary vascular remodeling and vascular obliteration that results in right heart failure and death. PAH pathogenesis is strongly associated with mutations of the Transforming Growth Factor Beta (TGF‐β) superfamily signaling pathway, which has previously been challenging to ...

Statistical Study on Pulsating Auroras and High‐Latitude Propagation of Chorus Waves Based on Conjugate Observations of Ground‐Based Imagers and Arase Satellite

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 131, Issue 7, July 2026.
Abstract Pulsating aurora (PsA) is one of the common diffuse auroras typically generated by ∼10 keV electron precipitation. Precipitating electrons are scattered via wave‐particle interactions with whistler‐mode chorus waves in the magnetosphere. Previous studies have observationally demonstrated that, during PsAs, highly energetic electrons with ...

Real‐world treatment patterns and outcomes in accelerated and blast‐phase myeloproliferative neoplasms: Insights from a large multi‐centre cohort analysis in the United Kingdom

open access: yesBritish Journal of Haematology, Volume 209, Issue 1, Page 160-171, July 2026.
Summary This UK‐based retrospective analysis describes real‐world treatment patterns and outcomes in 175 patients with accelerated (AP, n = 69) or blast‐phase (BP, n = 106) ‘Philadelphia‐negative’ myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPN‐AP/BP) diagnosed between 2013 and 2025. Median age at transformation was 71 years.

Avian influenza overview March–May 2026

open access: yesEFSA Journal, Volume 24, Issue 7, July 2026.
Abstract Between 28 February and 4 June 2026, 949 highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) A(H5) virus detections were reported in domestic (186) and wild (763) birds in 30 countries in Europe. The downward trend in the number of detections observed at the end of the previous reporting period continued and is expected to persist throughout the summer ...

Evaluation of Olfactory Fossa Depth Using Computed Tomography

open access: yesJournal of Nepal Health Research Council
Background: Olfactory fossa is a depression in anterior cranial cavity whose floor is formed by cribriform plate of ethmoid bone and is susceptible to injury during functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS), especially when fossa is deep. Understanding
