Machine Learning‐Assisted Inverse Design of Soft and Multifunctional Hybrid Liquid Metal Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A machine learning framework is presented for inverse design of synthesizable multifunctional composites containing both liquid metal and solid inclusions. By integrating physics‐based modeling, data‐driven prediction, and Bayesian optimization, the approach enables intelligent design of experiments to identify optimal compositions and realize these ...

A study of optical solitons with Kerr and power law nonlinearities by He’s variational principle [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the European Optical Society-Rapid Publications, 2009
This paper studies optical solitons, in presence of perturbation terms, by the aid of He’s variational principle. The inter-modal dispersion, self-steepening and nonlinear dispersion are all treated as perturbation terms.

Dynamic Kerr effect responses in the terahertz range [PDF]

open access: yesThe Journal of Chemical Physics, 2005
Dynamic Kerr effect measurements provide a simple realization of a nonlinear experiment. We propose a field-off experiment where an electric field of one or several sinusoidal cycles with frequency Ω is applied to a sample in thermal equilibrium. Afterwards, the evolution of the polarizability is measured.

Integrated Field‐Free SOT Domain‐Wall Synapses and MTJ Stochastic Neurons for Hardware Boltzmann Machines

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Field‐free spin‐orbit torque domain‐wall synapses integrated with stochastic MTJ neurons enable compact hardware Boltzmann machines. Leveraging intrinsic stochasticity and multi‐level conductance, the system achieves efficient probabilistic learning with high accuracy, demonstrating a scalable spintronic platform for energy‐efficient edge AI.

Giant Kerr nonlinearity of terahertz waves mediated by stimulated phonon polaritons in a microcavity chip

open access: yesLight: Science & Applications
Optical Kerr effect, in which input light intensity linearly alters the refractive index, has enabled the generation of optical solitons, supercontinuum spectra, and frequency combs, playing vital roles in the on-chip devices, fiber communications, and ...

An overview of the factors affecting fiber-optic communication lines during lightning discharges and modeling of laboratory installations designed to study the effect of a magnetic field on fiber parameters

open access: yesОмский научный вестник
The article provides an overview of the known effects that influence the transmission of information over optical fiber and that arise as a result of lightning discharges: the electro-optical Kerr effect, the Faraday effect, the influence of ionizing ...

Time‐Resolved Magnetization Switching Dynamics Driven by Orbital Torques

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Du et al. reveal nanosecond magnetization switching driven by orbital currents using time‐resolved Hall detection. The measurements separate domain nucleation from domain wall propagation and show that Joule heating strongly assists switching by lowering energy barriers.

APPLICATION OF THE EFFECTIVE IMPEDANCE METHOD FOR IN SITU ELLIPSOMETRIC ANALYSIS OF MAGNETIC FILMS [PDF]

open access: yesФизико-химические аспекты изучения кластеров, наноструктур и наноматериалов, 2013
The technique of effective surface impedance is proposed and applied as useful tool for non-destructive in situ characterisation of optical and magneto-optical parameters of magnetic heterostructures.
