l-glutamine is a key parameter in the immunosuppression phenomenon
Biochemical and Biophysical Research Communications, 2012Suppression of tumour-specific T-cell functions by myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) is a dominant mechanism of tumour escape. MDSCs express two enzymes, i.e. inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) and arginase (ARG1), which metabolize the semi-essential amino acid L-arginine (L-Arg) whose bioavailability is crucial for T-cell proliferation and ...

In this chapter, two key domination parameters different from the standard domination number are discussed. The first, the independent domination number, was introduced by Stephen Hedetniemi and his coauthor Ernie Cockayne in 1974. The second, the total domination number, was introduced by Hedetniemi together with his coauthors Cockayne and Dawes in ...

Prebiotic network evolution: six key parameters
Molecular BioSystems, 2015Abstract The origins of life likely required the cooperation among a set of molecular species interacting in a network. If so, then the earliest modes of evolutionary change would have been governed by the manners and mechanisms by which networks change their compositions over time.

Key parameters governing metallic nanoparticle electrocatalysis
Nanoscale, 2015Engineering metallic nanoparticles constitutes a powerful route to design next-generation electrocatalysts to be used in future energy and environmental industries. In this mini review, we cover recent advances in metallic nanoparticle electrocatalysis, with a focus on understanding how the parameters such as particle sizes, crystalline structures ...

Sampling Capabilities of a DMM - Determination of Key Parameters
2004 Conference on Precision Electromagnetic Measurements, 2004A sampling method for indirect measurement of all relevant parameters of sampling device is presented. One can determine sampling frequency inaccuracy, integration interval inaccuracy and latency time. All these parameters can be determined with relative error less than 10 ppm, except latency time whose absolute accuracy is about 60 ns.

Estimation of key parameters for bus safety operation
2017 4th International Conference on Systems and Informatics (ICSAI), 2017In order to have an optimal performance, bus control systems have to obtain accurate driving information concerning bus dynamic parameters and road surface condition. However, such information is not easy to acquire directly with high accuracy and low expense.

Key Recovery Attack for All Parameters of HFE-
2017Recently, by an interesting confluence, multivariate schemes with the minus modifier have received attention as candidates for multivariate encryption. Among these candidates is the twenty year old HFE\(^-\) scheme originally envisioned as a possible candidate for both encryption and digital signatures, depending on the number of public equations ...

Analysis of key parameters in MWP-LCI systems
2017 19th International Conference on Transparent Optical Networks (ICTON), 2017Low coherence interferometry (LCI) is a well-known measurement technique able to provide an axial precision in the order of the microns. Its application to a wide variety of fields like medicine has attracted the interest of many authors mainly due to its non-invasive characteristic.
