Controlling sap-sucking insect pests with recombinant endophytes expressing plant lectin [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We developed a novel pest management strategy, which uses endophytes to express anti-pest plant lectins. Fungal endophyte of Chaetomium globosum YY-11 with anti-fungi activities was isolated from rape seedlings, and bacterial endophytes of SJ-10 ...

Synergistic Ion Transport and Spatial Confinement in Sb‐Embedded Hollow Carbon Nanofibers for Stable Na Metal Anodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work presents a 3D Sb‐embedded hollow carbon nanofiber (Sb@HCF) host for ultra‐stable Na metal anodes. Experimental analyses and theoretical simulations clearly uncovers that in situ formed Na‐Sb alloy guides uniform Na deposition and serves as efficient ion transport highways. The Sb@HCF‐based cells achieve exceptional cycling stability in half‐,

Projecting potential distribution of Eucryptorrhynchus scrobiculatus Motschulsky and E. brandti (Harold) under historical climate and RCP 8.5 scenario

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
Ailanthus altissima (Mill.) Swingle and its variant A. altissima var. Qiantouchun are notorious invasive weeds. Two weevils, Eucryptorrhynchus scrobiculatus (ESC) and E. brandti (EBR) are considered as candidates for biological control of A.

Polar Lattice‐Distorted Motifs Enable Synergy of Local Polarization/Dipole Fields for Concurrent Glyphosate Wastewater Remediation and CO Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Photocatalytic treatment of glyphosate herbicide in agricultural wastewater is achieved through the cooperative effect of the local polarization field and dipole field mediated by lattice‐distorted carbon nitride. Glyphosate is completely degraded via selective C─P bond cleavage with a CO evolution rate of 1166 µmol g−1 h−1.
