Identification of key pinch forces required to complete functional tasks
Reconstructive hand surgeries restore key pinch to individuals with pinch force deficits caused by tetraplegia. Data that define the magnitudes of force necessary to complete functional key pinch tasks are limited. This study aims to establish target pinch forces for completing selected tasks that represent a range of useful functional activities.

Investigations on Roller-Based Filament Drives
The filament drive is a key part of the extrusion assembly of a Fused Filament Fabrication printer. This investigation examines the maximum feed force and the slip of different driving rollers using a filament made of polylactic-acid (PLA) on a test ...

Normative Measurements of Grip and Pinch Strengths of 21st Century Korean Population [PDF]
BackgroundMeasuring grip and pinch strength is an important part of hand injury evaluation. Currently, there are no standardized values of normal grip and pinch strength among the Korean population, and lack of such data prevents objective evaluation of ...

A single photoelectron transistor for quantum optical communications [PDF]
A single photoelectron can be trapped and its photoelectric charge detected by a source/drain channel in a transistor. Such a transistor photodetector can be useful for flagging the safe arrival of a photon in a quantum repeater. The electron trap can be

AIN to Ulnar Motor Nerve Transfer Meta Analysis [PDF]
Background: There are currently few comprehensive studies of end-to-end and “supercharged” reverse end-to-side (SETS) anterior interosseous nerve (AIN) to ulnar nerve transfers for treatment of ulnar neuropathy.

Impurity and Trace Tritium Transport in Tokamak Edge Turbulence [PDF]
The turbulent transport of impurity or minority species, as for example Tritium, is investigated in drift-Alfv\'en edge turbulence. The full effects of perpendicular and parallel convection are kept for the impurity species. The impurity density develops

Nambu-Goldstone Mechanism in Real-Time Thermal Field Theory [PDF]
In a one-generation fermion condensate scheme of electroweak symmetry breaking, it is proven based on Schwinger-Dyson equation in the real-time thermal field theory in the fermion bubble diagram approximation that, at finite temperature $T$ below the ...
