Diversity and horizontal gene transfer of mycoviruses in Exserohilum turcicum population from northern corn leaf blight of maize

open access: yesPhytopathology Research
Northern corn leaf blight, caused by Exserohilum turcicum, severely affects maize yields globally. Some mycoviruses induce host hypovirulence in phytopathogenic fungi, offering the potential for fungal biocontrol.

Microstructure Optimization of Na3SbS4/Na3Zr2Si2PO12 Composite Solid Electrolytes for Improving Cycling Stability in All‐Solid‐State Sodium Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This research demonstrates that incorporating 10 wt.% NASICON‐type Na3Zr2Si2PO12 into Na3SbS4 sulfide electrolytes mitigates interfacial instability and structural defects. The resulting composite enhances ionic conductivity to 3.97 * 10−4 S cm−1 and reduces activation energy.

Joint application of plant immunity-inducing elicitors and fungicides to control Phytophthora diseases

open access: yesPhytopathology Research
Phytophthora are destructive plant pathogens that pose a serious threat to crop production. Traditional control methods rely heavily on chemical fungicides, which are harmful to the environment and human health.

Stage‐Specific H3K14 and H3K23 Succinylation Orchestrates Insect Metamorphosis and Oogenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Stage‐specific succinylation of histone H3 at lysine 14 and 23 differentially controls insect metamorphosis and oogenesis through distinct GPCR‐PKC signaling cascades, revealing an evolutionarily conserved epigenetic mechanism that coordinates key life‐history traits.

The SUMO gene MrSmt3 is involved in SUMOylation, conidiation and stress response in Metarhizium robertsii

open access: yesScientific Reports
Smt3, as a small ubiquitin-like modifier (SUMO), play an essential role in the regulation of protein SUMOylation, and thus this process can affect various important biological functions. Here, we investigated the roles of MrSmt3 (yeast SUMO/Smt3 homologs)

Planting System and Cultivar Influence Olive Key-Pests Infestation in an Olive-Growing Vocated Area

open access: yesHorticulturae
Traditional and intensive planting systems have paved the way for the phenomenon of intensification, with the super high-density (SHD) system being the most prominent. This system has demonstrated high levels of profitability due to both the reduction in production costs achieved through complete mechanization and a significant increase in olive oil ...

Aptamer‐Targeted PrPC Drives Colorectal Cancer Metastasis via a LYN‐STAT3 Complex and Enables Liquid Biopsy Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The aptamer WHY‐3E identifies PrPC as a CRC driver. Stabilized by USP18, endocytosed PrPC forms a LYN/STAT3 complex, upregulating MSN transcription to promote metastasis. Crucially, WHY‐3E sensitively detects PrPC‐positive circulating exosomes, establishing a robust theoretical foundation for non‐invasive clinical diagnostics.
