The Supraorbital Keyhole Approach

Journal of Craniofacial Surgery, 2015
Aim: The major aim of the present anatomical study was to demonstrate the anatomical structures that can be visualized using the supraorbital keyhole approach, both endoscopically and microscopically, from an eyebrow incision to intracranial structures. Furthermore, it defines an optimal craniotomy for surgery.

Transsylvian Keyhole Functional Hemispherectomy

Neurosurgery, 2001
Abstract OBJECTIVE To describe the technical steps, advantages, and limitations of a quicker, minimal-exposure, functional hemispherectomy procedure developed from a hemispherical deafferentation technique previously described. METHODS

Keyhole cochlear implantation surgery

Cochlear Implants International, 2009
A limited access 'keyhole' cochlear implantation (CI) surgical technique is presented. The surgery employs a 15-18 mm diameter C-incision on the rear of the auricle. The implant is retained in a snug pericranial pocket. A bony retention well is avoided. Minimal mastoid cell clearance is used.

Keyhole Deformity: A Case Series

Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery, 2008
Keyhole deformity is frequently encountered after posterior internal sphincterotomy but may be observed after lateral internal sphincterotomy or in patients without any history of previous anal surgery. The aim of the present study is to emphasize the surgical significance of this entity and discuss the possible strategies in the treatment of the ...

Keyhole and multi-keyhole MIMO channels: Modeling and simulation

2011 8th International Conference on Information, Communications & Signal Processing, 2011
A simple and effective simulation model for keyhole multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channels is introduced. The keyhole is modeled as a pair of transmitting and receiving antennas relaying multipath signals from the transmitter region to the receiver region.

Keyhole tongue reduction

Operative Techniques in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, 2015
Macroglossia, although relatively uncommon, can lead to significant morbidity such as compensatory mandibular overgrowth, compromised oral competence, and chronic exposure and breakdown of tongue mucosa. Surgical debulking of the enlarged tongue is reserved for patients with significant morbidity.

Synchronous Observation of Topside Weld Pool, Keyhole Entrance and Keyhole Exit in Keyhole Plasma Arc Welding

2017 IEEE 7th Annual International Conference on CYBER Technology in Automation, Control, and Intelligent Systems (CYBER), 2017
A synchronous visual sensing system was established to observe the topside weld pool, keyhole entrance and keyhole exit in the same time during keyhole plasma arc welding. Complete topside weld pool was captured by a common CCD camera perpendicularly to the welding direction.

Keyhole electron diffractive imaging (KEDI)

Acta Crystallographica Section A Foundations of Crystallography, 2012
Electron diffractive imaging (EDI) relies on combining information from the high-resolution transmission electron microscopy image of an isolated kinematically diffracting nano-particle with the corresponding nano-electron diffraction pattern. Phase-retrieval algorithms allow one to derive the phase, lost in the acquisition of the diffraction pattern ...

Keyhole Cochlear Implantation

Otology & Neurotology, 2011
Past cochlear implantation (CI) techniques have included a variety of soft tissue and bony trauma to place and stabilize the implant body. Despite minimalist approaches, the surgery invites further refinement.A restricted access "keyhole" CI technique was developed through a series of 547 cases undertaken from 1997.

Keyhole Markup Language

2013
In this chapter, we explore two innovative tools for interactive visualization: Google Earth and Google Maps. Google Earth renders Keyhole Markup Language (KML) documents for viewing on a virtual earth browser, and similarly, Google Maps displays KML-formatted data on two-dimensional maps in a Web browser. KML is a grammar of XML for marking up spatial
