PIM2 interacts with tristetraprolin and promotes breast cancer tumorigenesis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 12, Issue 5, Page 690-704, May 2018., 2018
Tristetraprolin (TTP) is an AU‐rich element‐binding protein that regulates mRNA stability and is deregulated in some cancers. We have found that the oncogene Proviral Insertion in Murine Lymphomas 2 (PIM2) binds to TTP and decreases TTP protein levels by targeting it for degradation via the ubiquitin‐proteasome pathway.

Validation of historians' reports about the practical life of the infallibles and its usage in the inference of religious rulings

open access: yesمطالعات تطبیقی فقه و اصول مذاهب, 2023
Some Sunni jurists have made jurisprudential use of the historians' reports in the Sirah books (books about infallible’s life). While the Jaʿfari (Imamiyya) jurists do not want to infer to historical sources in their jurisprudence inference.

Hallmarks of cancer and AU‐rich elements

open access: yesWIREs RNA, Volume 8, Issue 1, January/February 2017., 2017
Post‐transcriptional control of gene expression is aberrant in cancer cells. Sustained stabilization and enhanced translation of specific mRNAs are features of tumor cells. AU‐rich elements (AREs), cis‐acting mRNA decay determinants, play a major role in the posttranscriptional regulation of many genes involved in cancer processes.

Trends in information behavior research, 2016–2022: An Annual Review of Information Science and Technology (ARIST) paper

open access: yesJournal of the Association for Information Science and Technology, Volume 76, Issue 1, Page 216-237, January 2025.
Abstract Research on how people look for and interact with information has a long history in the information field. The current literature has been repeatedly reviewed in earlier volumes of Annual Review of Information Science and Technology. In this review, we offer an overview of the research published in this area in the years 2016–2022 with a focus

miR‐29a inhibition normalizes HuR over‐expression and aberrant AU‐rich mRNA stability in invasive cancer

open access: yesThe Journal of Pathology, Volume 230, Issue 1, Page 28-38, May 2013., 2013
Abstract The activities of RNA‐binding proteins are perturbed in several pathological conditions, including cancer. These proteins include tristetraprolin (TTP, ZFP36) and HuR (ELAVL1), which respectively promote the decay or stability of adenylate‐uridylate‐rich (AU‐rich) mRNAs.

Hydroxychloroquine attenuates double‐stranded RNA‐stimulated hyper‐phosphorylation of tristetraprolin/ZFP36 and AU‐rich mRNA stabilization

open access: yesImmunology, Volume 173, Issue 3, Page 511-519, November 2024.
Understanding the underlying mechanisms of the increased abundance of inflammatory cytokines during disease, including those situations where double‐stranded RNA is involved, such as during viral and autoimmune diseases, is key to developing effective treatments. We identified here that the dsRNA, a viral and autoimmune mimic, caused increased p38‐MAPK

Characterization of mRNA therapeutics

open access: yesMass Spectrometry Reviews, Volume 43, Issue 5, Page 1066-1090, September/October 2024.
Abstract Therapeutic messenger RNAs (mRNAs) have emerged as powerful tools in the treatment of complex diseases, especially for conditions that lack efficacious treatment. The successful application of this modality can be attributed to its ability to encode entire proteins.

Post‐Transcriptional Regulation of Rab7a in Lysosomal Positioning and Drug Resistance in Nutrient‐Limited Cancer Cells

open access: yesTraffic, Volume 25, Issue 9, September 2024.
ABSTRACT Limited nutrient availability in the tumor microenvironment can cause the rewiring of signaling and metabolic networks to confer cancer cells with survival advantages. We show here that the limitation of glucose, glutamine and serum from the culture medium resulted in the survival of a population of cancer cells with high viability and ...
