Transplantation Proceedings, 2019After its initial difficulties were overcome, lung transplantation became an accepted and effective treatment for end-stage lung disease. Patients can take part in almost all kinds of sports after lung transplantation, including high-altitude mountaineering, which is an extreme sport even for healthy individuals.
