Impact of Incidental High Ocean Waves on Topographical Changes in the Adélie Penguin Colony at Edmonson Point on the Northern Victoria Land Coast, Antarctica

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Geology and Geophysics, Volume 69, Issue 1, March 2026.
Natural disaster‐driven environmental changes can have both direct and indirect effects on seabird breeding and nesting conditions. Edmonson Point, located on the Victoria Land coast in the Ross Sea, hosts around 3000 pairs of Adélie penguins (Pygoscelis adeliae), divided between coastal and hillside subcolonies differing in topography.

Spatial Resolution Impact Assessment for Long‐Term Population Monitoring of Adélie Penguin Guano

open access: yesNew Zealand Journal of Geology and Geophysics, Volume 69, Issue 1, March 2026.
Adélie penguins (Pygoscelis adeliae) are key indicators of the Antarctic ecosystem, and remotely sensed guano stains offer an efficient means of estimating breeding abundance. Landsat medium‐resolution (MR) imagery enables long‐term monitoring through its archive.

Polygenic Risk for Pre‐Eclampsia and the Long‐Term Risk of Incident Hypertension and Cardiovascular Disease: A Population‐Based Cohort Study

open access: yesBJOG: An International Journal of Obstetrics &Gynaecology, Volume 133, Issue 4, Page 662-670, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective To investigate whether genetic predisposition to pre‐eclampsia (PE), measured by a polygenic risk score (PRS), is associated with incident hypertension and cardiovascular disease (CVD) after delivery in Asian women. Design Prospective population‐based cohort study.

Does Working From Home Kill Innovation? Examining the Relationship Between Working From Home and Innovative Work Behaviour

open access: yesCreativity and Innovation Management, Volume 35, Issue 1, Page 3-16, March 2026.
ABSTRACT A large proportion of employees regularly work from home despite doubts about their ability to be innovative while working remotely. The relationship between working from home and innovative work behaviour is a pressing issue that has produced ambivalent research results, presumably because the mechanisms that underpin the relationship are ...

Associations between steatotic liver disease subtypes and incident diabetes in young Korean adults: A nationwide cohort study

open access: yesDiabetes, Obesity and Metabolism, Volume 28, Issue 3, Page 1947-1955, March 2026.
Abstract Aims The impact of steatotic liver disease (SLD) subtypes on incident type 2 diabetes remains unclear. We investigated the association of metabolic dysfunction‐associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), MetALD (MASLD with moderate alcohol consumption), and alcohol‐related liver disease (ALD) with incident type 2 diabetes in Korean adults aged
