XENOLITHS OF HORNBLENDITES FROM THE UDACHNAYA KIMBERLITE PIPE
Russian Geology and Geophysics, 1995Based on study of structural characteristics of mineralogy and chemistry of hornblendite xenoliths from the Udachnaya Kimberlite Pipe, we have recognized pyroxene, pyroxene-plagioclase, monomineral, and mica varieties. The reaction relationships of amphibole with relict pyroxene suggest metasomatic nature of hornblendites.

Lithos, 1968The kimberlite pipes of Yakutia contain a number of rare xenoliths of deep seated origin (corundum eclogites, grospydites and diamond bearing eclogites). The chemistry of the clinopyroxenes from each of these rock types is distinctive.
